US home prices up 0.1% in December, below expectations
House prices in December increase 1.8% annually

ISTANBUL (AA) - US home prices rose 0.1% on a monthly basis in December, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) said Tuesday.
The figure followed an upwardly revised 0.7% rise in house prices in November, while it was below expectations of a 0.3% increase for December.
On a yearly basis, house prices rose 1.8% in December, following an upwardly revised 2.1% increase in November.
Among the states for which the index is calculated, the largest increases were in North Dakota (6.4%), Delaware (6.3%), Illinois (6.1%), Wisconsin (5.7%) and Michigan (5.5%).
Meanwhile, house prices were down in nine states and the District of Columbia, with Florida experiencing the most significant price decline, at 2.7%.
Six of the nine census divisions saw year-over-year increases in house prices. The East North Central division led gains, with prices rising 5% from the fourth quarter of 2024 to the fourth quarter of 2025.
In contrast, the Mountain division posted a slight decline of 0.2% during the same period.
