US new home sales reach 724,000 in March, exceeding forecasts
New house sales rise 7.4% monthly and 6% yearly in March, according to US Census Bureau data

ISTANBUL (AA) - New home sales in the United States increased by 724,000 units in March, exceeding market expectations, according to US Census Bureau data released on Wednesday.
The markets expected the figure to come in at 684,000 for the month.
The figure rose 7.4% month-on-month versus February's rate of 674,000.
Meanwhile, the number of houses sold in March also jumped 6% on a yearly basis from March 2024's figure of 683,000.
The agency said the median sales price of new houses in March was $403,600 and the average sales price was $497,700.
