US producer prices below market expectations in June, at 2.3% annually

ISTANBUL (AA) - Producer prices in the US rose 2.3% on a yearly basis, below market expectations of 2.5%, official figures showed on Wednesday.

On a monthly basis, producer inflation was at 0% in June, with prices unchanged from May, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said.

Prices for final demand goods rose 0.3% in June, the largest gain since moving up 0.3% in February, the bureau said.

Communication and related equipment prices climbed 0.8%.

Services' prices edged down 0.1% in June after increasing 0.4% in May.
