US Sen. Graham calls Danish premier 'little lady' during meeting on Greenland

ISTANBUL (AA) - Republican US Sen. Lindsey Graham called Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen a “little lady” during a meeting on Greenland on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference over the weekend, Danish media reported Wednesday.

A source who attended a meeting on Greenland, where the Danish premier and Greenland’s Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen were present, told daily Berlingske that Graham called Frederiksen a “little lady.”

A participant in the meeting described Graham's behaviors as "appalling, shocking, and extremely inappropriate."

Frederiksen, meanwhile, was reported to have remained calm.

According to Berlingske sources, a “theatrical scene” also unfolded between Graham and the Greenlandic premier, during which the US senator demonstratively yawned directly in Nielsen’s face.
