ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's Interior Ministry said on Thursday that a red-listed PKK ringleader was killed in an April 6 operation in southern Hatay province.
The wanted list is divided into five color-coded categories, with red as the most wanted, followed by blue, green, orange and grey.
Seyithan Sinet, code-named Wedat Amed, was among the six terrorists killed in an air supported operation at Amanos Mountains.
During the operation dubbed "Martyr Gendarmerie NCO Samet Tokur", many weapons and ammunition were seized.
Since the beginning of the year, 18 terrorists were killed at Amanos Mountains, where the PKK terror group is active.
Sinet orchestrated many terror acts in the mountains.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- waged a terror campaign against Turkey for more than 30 years and has been responsible for the death of over 40,000 people.
