Wanted terrorist neutralized in SE Turkey: Ministry

ANKARA - Turkey’s counter-terrorism efforts neutralized another wanted terrorist in the southeast of the country, the Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.

Among two terrorists neutralized in the southeastern Siirt province, one is revealed to be Naif Maral, who was inscribed on the orange category of the wanted list of the Interior Ministry.

Neutralized in the operation in the Tillo district, Maral -- codenamed "Ferman Gabar" -- was sought with a 600,000 Turkish lira ($98,731) bounty on his head, the Interior Ministry statement said.

Turkish authorities often use the word "neutralized" in their statements to imply that the terrorists in question either surrendered or were killed or captured.

The list is divided into five color-coded categories, with red as the most wanted, followed by blue, green, orange and gray.
