Weather collapse blows up in Moscow
Over 30 flights cancelled in Russian capital due to harsh weather conditions

MOSCOW (AA) - Russia's national meteorological service announced on Friday a "level orange" alert due to a rainstorm in Moscow.
Hydrometeorological Centre of Russia operates "level orange" status when "weather conditions pose a serious threat".
Over 30 flights have been cancelled or delayed because of the harsh weather conditions at the airports of the Russian capital.
Russian state TV channels interrupted the broadcasting to warn people about a hurricane.
"A windstorm is expected. Do not go out without a necessity, do not take transport. Do not hide and do not park under the trees, in temporary buildings and under rickety constructions. Be attentive and cautious. Rescue services numbers are 01, 101," the warning said.
In May 2017, at least 18 people were killed and 170 injured in a violent windstorm that became the deadliest natural disaster in Moscow since a tornado in 1904.
