DEIR EZ-ZOR/ANKARA (AA) – Six people have been killed by the YPG/PKK terrorist group in Syria’s eastern Deir Ez-Zor province, according to local sources.

The terrorist group, backed by U.S.-led coalition helicopters, reportedly raided the village of Abu al-Nital on Tuesday.

During the raid, YPG/PKK militants killed 10 civilians on the pretext that they were providing refuge to Daesh terrorists.

Dozens of civilians were also detained by the YPG/PKK, which has since laid siege to the village.

According to local sources, the group has ransacked a number of private homes in the area and seized private property.

The Syrian branch of the PKK terror organization, the YPG/PKK currently controls roughly 28 percent of Syrian territory.

Syria has only just begun to emerge from a devastating conflict that began in 2011 when the Assad regime cracked down on demonstrators with unexpected ferocity.
