19th MUSIAD EXPO to be held in November

ISTANBUL (AA) - Thousands of business people and investors are expected to converge on Istanbul this fall to explore new opportunities for cooperation and partnerships in the upcoming 19th Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) EXPO.

According to a statement from the Turkish industry group on Friday, the four-day event set to launch on Nov. 2 is projected to welcome more than 100,000 visitors from 124 countries.

The expo will be a platform for procurement committees operating in 24 different sectors to come and meet with entrepreneurs, investors, and industrialists.

"Purchasing delegations from many countries, such as Azerbaijan, Russia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Iran, and Algeria, will take their place at the MUSIAD EXPO, the center of global trade," said Mahmut Asmali, the association's chairman.

MUSIAD, is a Turkish industry group that helps facilitate trade between Turkish businesses and those in other countries and consists mostly of small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The association has over 12,500 members and 60,000 member businesses, with 83 domestic and 165 international contact points in 81 countries as of Sept. 9, according to its website.
