Asian shares close mostly with gains, except for China
Shanghai Stock Exchange down 8.3 points or 0.25%

ANKARA (AA) - Major Asian stock markets closed Friday with gains except for China's Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Japan is in shock due to the passing of Japan's former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo, who was shot fatally during an election campaign on Friday.
Abe was the architect of "aggressive monetary policy, great fiscal stimulus, and structural reforms," which is referred to as "Abenomics" among economists.
Japan's Nikkei 225 closed the day at 26,517 points with a rise of 0.1%, while the dollar/yen parity, depreciated by 0.1% and stabilized at 135.8.
While China's Shanghai Stock Exchange decreased by 0.25% to 3,356 points, South Korea's Kospi index increased by 0.7% to 2,351 points.
In India, the Sensex index rose 0.5% to 54,428 points, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng index rose 0.2% to 21,693 points.
