Asian stock markets mixed at Friday's close
China's Shanghai Stock Exchange falls 1.64% following weak economic data

ANKARA (AA) – Major Asian stock markets ended mixed on Friday amid global recession risks and a strengthening dollar.
The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, was flat at 3,132 points.
Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 stock exchange increased by 145.1 points, or 0.54%, to 26,788.
The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, plunged by 453.5 points, or 2.19%, to 20,297 points.
China’s Shanghai Stock Exchange slipped by 53.7 points, or 1.64%, to close at 3,228 points.
The drop came after latest data showed China’s gross domestic product rose 0.4% year-on-year in the second quarter of this year, the lowest growth in over two years.
Industrial production for June also came in at below expectations, rising 3.9% from a year ago.
Over in India, the Sensex benchmark was up 344.6 points, or 0.65%, to end the day at 53,761, while the Singapore index gained 8.5 points, or 0.28%, to close at 3,099.
