Borsa Istanbul opens week looking up
BIST 100 index gains 72.2 points

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Monday at 12.740,72 points, increasing by 0.57% or 72.2 points.
On Friday, the BIST 100 rose 1.7% to close at 12,668.52 points, with a daily transaction volume of 194 billion liras ($4.49 billion).
As of 10.25 am local time (0725GMT), exchange rates stood at 43.2730 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 50.3995 to the euro, and 58.0530 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,666.80, while Brent crude oil was trading at $63.30 per barrel.
