Borsa Istanbul opens week with decline
BIST 100 index drops around 240 points

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Monday at 13,598.39 points, decreasing by 1.73% or 239.9 points.
On Friday, the BIST 100 rose 0.05% to close at 13,838.29 points, with a daily transaction volume of 244 billion liras ($5.62 billion).
As of 10.05 am local time (0705GMT), exchange rates stood at 43.5070 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 51.6490 to the euro, and 59.5730 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,534.20, while Brent crude oil was trading at $65.95 per barrel.
