Brazil's annual inflation falls to 7.17% in September
On monthly basis, consumer prices drop 0.29% in September

ANKARA (AA) - Brazil's annual consumer inflation decreased to 7.17% in September, according to official data released on Tuesday.
The market expectation for September was a 7.10% annual rise in consumer prices.
Consumer prices rose 8.73% year-on-year in August, according to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.29% in September, while the market forecast was a 0.34% decline. In August, consumer prices dropped 0.36% month-on-month.
Of the nine groups of products and services surveyed, communication and transportation posted the largest month-on-month decreases, 2.08% and 1.98%, respectively.
It stressed that transport prices fell for the third consecutive month due to lower fuel prices (minus 8.5%).
