European stock exchanges close higher except for UK

ISTANBUL (AA) — European stock exchanges closed higher Thursday except for the UK.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 0.82 point, or 0.18%, to finish the day at 464.03.

Germany's DAX 30 added 4.7 points, or 0.03%, to 15,800. France's CAC 40 gained 17 points, or 0.23%, to close at 7,483.

Italy's FTSE MIB increased 50 points, or 0.19%, to 27,158. Spain's IBEX 35 rose 20 points, or 0.22%, to end the day at 9,314.

The UK's FTSE 100, on the other hand, declined 21 points, or 0.27%, to end the session at 7,831.
