European stock exchanges close mixed

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed mixed Tuesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 1.47 points, or 0.32%, to finish at 461.11.

The UK's FTSE 100 lost 58 points, or 0.74%, to end the session at 7,876. Germany's DAX 30 trimmed 16 points, or 0.11%, to close at 15,365.

France's CAC 40, meanwhile, decreased 27 points, or 0.38%, to finish the day at 7,267.

Italy's FTSE MIB, on the other hand, increased 34 points, or 0.12%, to 27,478.

Spain's IBEX 35 was the best performer of the day, adding 80 points, or 0.86%, to close at 9,394.
