European stock exchanges close Monday lower

Italy's FTSE MIB performs worst, plummeting 208 points, or 0.75%

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges ended Monday with losses.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 0.03 points, or 0.01%, to finish the day at 468.97.

The UK's FTSE 100 lost 1.93 points, or 0.02%, to end the session at 7,912. Germany's DAX 30, meanwhile, shed 17 points, or 0.11%, to 15,863.

France's CAC 40 dropped three points, or 0.04%, to close at 7,573.

Italy's FTSE MIB was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 208 points, or 0.75%, to 27,537.

Spain's IBEX 35 declined nine points, or 0.1%, to end the day at 9,406.
