European stock exchanges close Thursday higher

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed higher on Thursday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 2.85 points, or 0.62%, to finish at 462.31.

The UK's FTSE 100 increased almost 26 points, or 0.33%, to end the session at 7,911.

Germany's DAX 30, meanwhile, rose 111 points, or 0.72%, to 15,523. France's CAC 40 added 68 points, or 0.96%, to close at 7,188.

Italy's FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, soaring 343 points, or 1.26%, to 27,503.

Spain's IBEX 35 was up 16 points, or 0.18%, to end the day at 9,243.
