UK's FTSE 100 performs worst, losing 1.1%

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed Thursday with losses.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 2.17 points, or 0.47%, to finish the day at 460.34.

The UK's FTSE 100 was the worst performer of the day, losing 85 points, or 1.1%, to end the session at 7,702.

Germany's DAX 30 shed 80 points, or 0.51%, to 15,734. France's CAC 40, meanwhile, dropped 63 points, or 0.85%, to close at 7,340.

Italy's FTSE MIB plummeted 165 points, or 0.61%, to 26,670.

Spain's IBEX 35 trimmed 33 points, or 0.36%, to end the day at 9,043.
