European stock exchanges mostly close Monday higher

ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock exchanges closed mostly with gains on Monday, except for Spain.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 3.93 point, or 0.88%, to 448.35.

The UK's FTSE 100 increased 25 points, or 0.34%, to end the session at 7,724.

Germany's DAX 30 added 182 points, or 1.25%, to finish at 14,792. France's CAC 40 rose 46 points, or 0.68%, to end at 6,907.

Italy's FTSE MIB jumped 204 points, or 0.81%, to 25,381.

Spain's IBEX 35, on the other hand, fell 6 point, or 0.07%, to close at 8,694.
