European stock markets close Friday with gains

Spain's IBEX 35 performs best, soaring 125 points, or 1.42%

ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock markets closed Friday with gains, partially recovering from previous day's losses.

Spain's IBEX 35 was the best performer of the day by soaring 125 points, or 1.42%, to end the day at 8,918.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 1.67 points, or 0.37%, to 452.12.

The UK's FTSE 100 increased 23 points, or 0.3%, to end the session at 7,770.

Germany's DAX 30 added 113 points, or 0.76%, to 15,033. France's CAC 40 rose 44 points, or 0.63%, to close at 6,995.

Italy's FTSE MIB posted a 179-point, or 0.7%, gain to finish at 25,775.
