European stock markets close higher except for Germany

Italy's FTSE MIB performs best, rising 0.46%

ANKARA (AA) - European stock markets mostly closed with gains on Wednesday, except for the German exchange.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 0.13 point, or 0.03%, to finish at 456.78 points.

London's FTSE 100 added 4.14 points, or 0.05%, to 7,580.

Germany's DAX 30 was the only index finishing at negative territory, down 48 points, or 0.34%, to end the day at 14,076.

France's CAC 40 increased 4.73 points, or 0.07%, to close at 6,542.

Italy's FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, rising almost 55 points, or 0.22%, to 24,722.

Spain's IBEX 35 added 39.8 points, or 0.46%, to end the day at 8,617.
