European stock markets close lower on Friday

Germany's DAX 30 performers worst, plummeting 2.48%

ANKARA (AA) - European stock markets closed lower on Friday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, declined 8.26 points, or 1.79%, to finish at 453.31 points.

London's FTSE 100 decreased 106 points, or 1.39%, to 7,521.

Germany's DAX 30 was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 360 points, or 2.48%, to end the day at 14,142.

France's CAC 40 fell 133 points, or 2%, to close at 6,581.

Italy's FTSE MIB decreased 526 points, or 2.12%, to 24,279.

Spain's IBEX 35 lost 162 points, or 1.84%, to end the day at 8,652.
