European stock markets close lower on Thursday

Italy's FTSE MIB performs worst, plummeting 0.59%

ANKARA (AA) - European stock markets closed lower on Thursday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, declined 0.95 points, or 0.21%, to finish at 455.02 points.

London's FTSE 100 decreased 35 points, or 0.47%, to 7,551, while Germany's DAX 30 lost 73 points, or 0.52%, to end the day at 14,078.

France's CAC 40 fell 37 points, or 0.57%, to close at 6,461.

Italy's FTSE MIB was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 144 points, or 0.59%, to 24,302.

Spain's IBEX 35 lost 14 points, or 0.17%, to end the day at 8,467.
