European stock markets close mixed on Thursday

ANKARA (AA) – European stock markets closed mixed on Thursday, with only two indices in positive territory.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 2.73 points, or 0.65%, to 414.78.

Germany’s DAX 30 dropped 71 points, or 0.55%, to close at 12,956, while Italy’s FTSE MIB fell by 47 points, or 0.21%, to 22,365.

France’s CAC 40 performed the worst, plummeting 64 points, or 1.04%, to 6,157.

The UK’s FTSE 100, on the other hand, gained 4 points, or 0.07%, to end the day at 7,282.

Spain’s IBEX 35 was up by almost 30 points, or 0.37%, to 8,085 at the closing bell.
