European stock markets gain over 1%

ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock markets jumped over 1% on Tuesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 6.76 points, or 1.53%, to finish at 449.56.

The UK's FTSE 100 increased 88 points, or 1.17%, to end the session at 7,637.

Germany's DAX 30 added 273 points, or 1.83%, to close at 15,232. France's CAC 40 meanwhile rose 130 points, or 1.86%, to finish at 7,141.

Italy's FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, soaring 617 points, or 2.36%, to 26,800.

Spain's IBEX 35 increased 200 points, or 2.23%, to 9,159.
