European stocks close lower except Italy

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stocks closed with losses on Monday, except Italy's exchange.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 2.15 points, or 0.49%, at 436.98. It was the worst performer of the day.

The UK's FTSE 100 decreased 30 points, or 0.41%, to close at 7,445. Germany's DAX 30 shed 64 points, or 0.45%, to end the session at 14,306.

France's CAC 40 declined 27 points, or 0.41%, to finish the first trading day of the week at 6,650.

Spain's IBEX 35 lost 30 points, or 0.37%, to 8,258.

Italy's FTSE MIB, on the other hand, rose 26 points, or 0.11%, to 24,303 at the closing bell.
