European stocks close lower except Italy's exchange

ISTANBUL (AA) – European stocks closed lower Monday except Italy's exchange.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 3.61 points, or 0.78%, to finish at 457.16.

The UK's FTSE 100 declined 65 points, or 0.82%, to end the session at 7,836. Germany's DAX 30 fell 130 points, or 0.84%, to 15,345.

France's CAC 40 decreased 96, or 1.34%, to close at 7,137.

Spain's IBEX 35 lost 66 points, or 0.72%, to end the day at 9,159.

Italy's FTSE MIB, on the other hand, gained 71 points, or 0.27%, to 27,022.
