European stocks close Monday higher except Spain

ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock exchanges closed with gains on Monday except the Spanish stock market.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 2.09 points, or 0.46%, to 454.63.

The UK's FTSE 100 increased 16 points, or 0.2%, to end the session at 7,860.

Germany's DAX 30, meanwhile, added 47 points, or 0.31%, to finish at 15,134.

France's CAC 40 gained 19 points, or 0.28%, to end at 7,043. Italy's FTSE MIB jumped 117 points, or 0.46%, to reach 25,901.

Spain's IBEX 35, on the other hand, fell 10 points, or 0.12%, to close at 8,871.
