European stocks close Wednesday higher

ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock exchanges closed higher Wednesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, rose 1.98 points, or 0.43%, to finish at 460.58.

Italy's FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, soaring 365 points, or 1.31%, to 28,308.

The UK's FTSE 100 added 59 points, or 0.8%, to end the session at 7,587. Germany's DAX rose 77 points, or 0.49%, to 15,852.

France's CAC 40, meanwhile, gained 52 points, or 0.72%, to close at 7,322.

Spain's IBEX 35 added 52 points, or 0.57%, to end the day at 9,354.
