Gas prices down 12.6% with Europe's storage 85% full

ANKARA (AA) - Natural gas prices in October futures contracts in Europe decreased to €187 ($186.6) per megawatt-hour on Friday with higher occupancy rates in Europe’s natural gas storage facilities.

According to data from Gas Infrastructure Europe, the occupancy rate of underground natural gas storage in EU countries exceeded 85% as of Monday.

Natural gas prices, which closed at around €214 ($213.5) per megawatt-hour on Thursday, dropped 12.6% to €187 on Friday's closing.
