Germany's producer prices up 0.7% in February

ISTANBUL (AA) - Producer prices rose by 0.7% in Germany year-on-year in February, the federal statistical office Destatis released on Thursday.

Increasing capital goods prices were the main reason for the annual increase in the country, Destatis said.

While non-durable consumer goods, durable consumer goods, and intermediate goods prices were also higher, energy was less expensive.

Energy-excluded producer prices in February 2025 rose by 1.4% on a yearly basis, while energy prices in February 2025 fell by 0.8% from the same month a year earlier.

Capital goods prices in February 2025 were 2% higher than a year earlier, non-durable consumer goods prices rose 3%, and durable consumer goods prices went up 1.2%.

Meanwhile, producer prices dropped by 0.2% on a monthly basis.
