ISTANBUL (AA) - Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said on Thursday that Indonesia has offered to purchase a $34 billion US goods deal, including LNG, amid tariff talks.
The proposed $34 billion deal includes $15.4 billion in energy imports from the US, with the remainder earmarked for agricultural goods and related investment plans, Airlangga said, as cited by Liputan 6 broadcaster.
The deal aims to close Indonesia's trade surplus with the US, which was $17.9 billion in 2024.
If no agreement is reached by July 9, Indonesia will be subjected to 32% tariffs by the US.
A memorandum of understanding reportedly will be signed between the sides on July 7.
