Ireland's annual inflation down to 8.7% in August
Country's inflation falls from 9.1% in July

ISTANBUL (AA) - The annual inflation rate in Ireland came in at 8.7% in August, down from 9.1% in July, official figures showed on Thursday.
The main contributors to the inflation were housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels with 20.3%, and transport with 14.8%, according to the Central Statistics Office.
Meanwhile, education (minus 0.7%), miscellaneous goods and services (minus 0.5%) showed decreases.
"This is the eleventh straight month where the annual increase for the CPI has been at least 5.0%," the country's statistical authority said.
