ISNA Donates and Calls for Support for Hurricane Harvey Victims

"ISNA is immediately donating $10,000 from it own emergency funds and asking all ISNA members to donate as much as they can," said Acting President Pervez Nasim. 

 

These funds are being disbursed through our local member organization the Islamic Society of Greater Houston (ISGH). ISGH has set up assistance for those in urgent need of rescue, food, water or shelter as well as distribution centers at various masajid for hygiene products, food and water.

 

In a statement, Houston based ISNA Board Member Zeyn Patel said:

"The unprecedented amount of rain and devastating flooding of Hurricane Harvey have affected many families. Seeing many families who have lost their homes and many with uncertainty about their futures underlie the great importance of both prayers and donations to help offset this damage and recover."
