JERUSALEM/ ISTANBUL (AA) – The Israeli army said Saturday that it had struck two Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip, in the latest violation of a ceasefire agreement.
A military statement claimed that an airstrike targeted the two in northern Gaza, alleging they “posed an immediate threat” to its troops after allegedly crossing the so-called yellow line, which separates areas under army control from those where Palestinians are permitted to move in.
No details were yet available whether the two were killed or injured.
Palestinians have accused the Israeli army of repeatedly violating the ceasefire deal that took effect in Gaza on Oct. 10.
According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, at least 394 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire.
Since October 2023, the Israeli army has killed more than 70,700 people in Gaza, mostly women and children, and injured over 171,000 others in a brutal assault that also left the enclave in ruins.
