Bulent Arinc says his condition is stable, isolated at home

ANKARA (AA) - Former speaker of Turkish parliament Bulent Arinc announced on Thursday that he contracted the novel coronavirus.

Arinc said on Twitter that he and his wife Munevver Arinc tested positive for COVID-19.

They are in stable condition and the couple are in home isolation under a doctor’s supervision, he added.

Turkey has confirmed 284,943 coronavirus cases so far. A total of 6,837 people have lost their lives to the disease while 254,188 others have recovered, according to the latest data by the Health Ministry.
