Turkey's Borsa Istanbul flat at week's close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index dropped by 0.03% to close at 96,861.42 points on Friday.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 97,081.97 points and lost 25.06 points from Thursday's close of 96,886.48 points.

In Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets, the price of one ounce of gold was around $1,278.50 by market close, up from $1,276.50 the previous day.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $72.00 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) Friday.
