Turkish economy's total turnover jumps 134.1% in September

ISTANBUL (AA) – The Turkish economy's total turnover soared 134.1% on an annual basis in September, the country's statistical authority reported on Friday.

It was driven by significant growth in the industry, construction, trade and services sectors, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).

The largest annual hike of 165.6% was recorded in the services sector, followed by trade at 132.2%.

Turnover in the industry and construction sectors surged 125% and 118.9%, respectively.

The total turnover index also increased 3.8% on a monthly basis.

"Industry increased by 1.0%, construction increased by 5.1%, trade increased by 4.6%, and services increased by 6.8% on a monthly basis in September 2022," TurkStat said.
