ISTANBUL (AA) - Modular cabins manufactured by the Turkish company Karmod will serve as office during the renovation of London’s world-famous Tower Bridge, the company said in a statement on Monday.

General Manager of Karmod Cabin Zekai Kucuk said the firm’s modular units offer a practical office solution for use in historic and tourist sites.

“Our lightweight, mobile cabins can be installed without causing any damage to their surroundings, making them ideal for restoration projects in sensitive heritage areas,” Kucuk said. “That’s why our models are often preferred for renovation works in historical locations, as well as for ticket booths and kiosks around tourist attractions.”

He added that the 270x390-centimeter cabin was produced with a fiberglass-reinforced CTP system and placed directly on Tower Bridge to serve as a project office throughout the renovation.

“Tower Bridge is a first-degree protected structure, so we designed a solution that ensures both safety and preservation,” he said.

“Our modular office is now in service atop one of the world’s most iconic landmarks,” he added.
