Turkish stock exchange begins Thursday on high note
Benchmark BIST 100 index gains 41.35 points at opening bell

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 10,633.33 points, up 0.39% or 41.35 points from the previous close.
On Wednesday, the BIST 100 dropped 0.23% to 10,591.98 points, with a daily transaction volume of 99.9 billion Turkish liras ($2.47 billion).
As of 10.10 a.m. local time (0710GMT), exchange rates stood at 40.4790 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 47.7505 to the euro, and 55.0560 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,376.30, while Brent crude oil was trading at $68.30 per barrel.
