Turkish stock exchange closes Tuesday on high note

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index increased 0.63% to close at 5,124.25 points on Tuesday.

After starting the day at 5,110.78 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 31.94 points from Monday's close.

During the day, the index's lowest value was 5,082.05 points, while its daily high was 5,143.53.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 4.25 trillion Turkish liras ($220 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 68 billion Turkish liras ($3.53 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was at $2,017.65, while Brent crude oil was around $85.17 per barrel as of 6.38 p.m. local time (1538GMT).
