Turkish stock exchange down 1.84% at Monday's close

ANKARA (AA) –​​​​​​​ Türkiye's benchmark stock index slipped 1.84% to end Monday at 5,096.29 points.

Starting the day at 5,201.07 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 95.54 points from last week's close of 5,191.83.

The index's lowest value during the day was 5,096.29, while its daily high was 5,232.63.

The daily trading volume was 76 billion Turkish liras ($4.03 billion).

During the day, 28 stocks on the index rose, 69 fell, and three were flat compared to the previous close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,928.40, while Brent crude oil sold at around $85.55 per barrel as of 6.33 p.m. local time (1533GMT).
