ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed at 4,713.39 points on Wednesday, plummeting 5.29% from the previous close.
Starting the day at 4,998.82 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped by 263.16 points from Tuesday's close.
The index's lowest value during the day was 4,713.39, while its daily high was 5,014.88. The daily trading volume was 79 billion Turkish liras ($4.2 billion).
The price of an ounce of gold was $11,947.05, while Brent crude oil sold at around $84.70 per barrel as of 6.57 p.m. local time (1557GMT).
