BIST 100 index earns around 3 points on Thursday

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock exchange ended Thursday at 4,427.99 points, up slightly by 0.07% from the previous close.

Starting the fourth transaction day of the week at 4,476.91 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 3.07 points compared to Wednesday's close.

The index's lowest value during the day was 4,404.09, while its daily high was 4,471.46.

The total market value of BIST 100 was around 3.68 trillion Turkish liras ($185.1 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 35.2 billion Turkish liras ($1.7 billion).

During the day, 54 stocks on the index rose and 41 fell compared to the previous close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,944.95, while Brent crude oil sold for around $77.6 per barrel as of 6.35 p.m. local time (1535GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 19.9340, the euro/lira exchange rate was 21.4175, and the British pound traded at 24.5620 Turkish liras.
