Turkish stock exchange opens up on Friday
Benchmark BIST 100 index rises 18.90 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 10,707.95 points, up 0.18% or 18.90 points from the previous close.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 gained 0.92%, closing at 10,689.05 points, with a daily trading volume of 139 billion Turkish liras ($3.43 billion).
As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate stood at 40.5550, the EUR/TRY rate was 47.7065, and the GBP/TRY rate was 54.7610.
The price of one ounce of gold was $3,357.80, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $68.85.
