Turkish stock exchange up at open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Friday at 9,990.4 points, up 0.29% or 29.07 points from the previous close.

On Thursday, the BIST 100 index rose by 1.33% to 9,961.34 points, with a daily transaction volume of 105.77 billion Turkish liras ($3.62 billion).

As of 10.15 am (0715GMT), the exchange rates stood at 35.3870 for the US dollar against the Turkish lira, 36.3899 for the euro, and 43.8890 for the British pound.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,656.70, and Brent crude oil traded at $75.8 per barrel.
