Turkish stock exchange up at Wednesday's open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 10,014.24 points, increasing 0.15% or 14.69 points from the previous close.

On Tuesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 0.30% to close the day at 9,999.55 points, with a daily transaction volume of 100 billion liras ($2.81 billion).

The USD/TRY exchange rate was 35.6520 as of 9.55 a.m. (0655GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.1075, and the GBP/TRY traded at 43.9170.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,747.10, while Brent crude oil was sold for around $78.30 per barrel.
