Turkish stocks down at Monday close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index fell 1.24% to close at 1,375.91 points on Monday.

After starting the week at 1,392.25 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 17.33 points from last week's close of 1,393.24 points.

One ounce of gold sold for $1,742.55 by market close, up from $1,730.50 at Friday's close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $63.40 per barrel as of 6.10 p.m. local time (1510GMT).
