ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at 4,930.18 points, down 1.35% from the previous close.
Starting the day at 4,879.46 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 67.45 points compared to Friday's close of 4,997.63 points.
The index's lowest value during the first transaction day was 4,748.25, while its daily high was 4,991.68.
The total market value of BIST 100 was around 3.96 trillion Turkish liras ($211 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 21 billion Turkish liras ($1.1 billion).
During the day, 25 stocks on the index rose and 74 fell compared to the previous close.
The price of an ounce of gold was $1,880.95, while Brent crude oil sold around $76.69 per barrel as of 7:30 p.m. local time (1630GMT).
